A Pop Up Store design based on the concept 'Sea Floor Details' featuring fashion designer Iris Van Herpen's Spring 2018 coulture collection. This is a unique concept incorporating beautiful elements of natural geometries and inspired by the complexity of nature.
For this project I was required to create three surfaces to be implemented into the interior that fit in with the scheme and concept. The first surface design application is the structural store facade. The idea is that this structure will be used as the facade of the store front, leading customers into the entrance of the store. This surface design was inspired by the shape and structure of the Nautilus shell. This design will consist of wooden struts or panels.
The second surface design application for the pop up store are clay panels to be applied to the front of the display units and til desk. For this surface design, i was inspired by the formation of the sea floor and the organic fluid movements within the ocean.
The final surface design application for the pop up store are feature wall panels. The idea is that wood panels will be applied to sections of the interior of the dome structure. For this surface design I was inspired by the natural fluidity of the sea floor, in addition the dome shape fits into the 'shell' concept of the interior.
The final visualisations communicate the composition and technical structure of the design. The vectorworks development communicates the complexity of the form with all of the complex curves that make up the overall exterior shell of the pop up store.
